ChipCensus is an index of the integrated circuits found inside real hardware. It answers two questions hardware folks actually ask: which devices use a given chip, and which chips show up again and again — across both finished products and open designs. Every entry links back to its source; expand any chip to see which board each came from.
| Source | What it is | How the BOM is read | Boards |
|---|---|---|---|
| iFixit | Finished consumer products | Chips named in staff-authored teardowns | — |
| Open Schematics DB | Community open hardware | KiCad / Altium projects (HuggingFace dataset) | — |
| Adafruit | Vendor boards & modules | EAGLE / KiCad design files on GitHub | — |
| SparkFun | Vendor boards & modules | EAGLE / KiCad design files on GitHub | — |
| Waveshare | Vendor boards & modules | Schematic PDFs on the product wiki | — |
| WeAct Studio | Vendor boards & modules | Schematic PDFs committed to GitHub | — |
| Total | — |
Best-effort automated extraction — manufacturer attribution can be imperfect; use the source filter to compare sources. ChipCensus is an independent project, not affiliated with iFixit, Adafruit, SparkFun, Waveshare, WeAct Studio, or the dataset authors.
